**SPOILER ALERT** DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET!!!!!!**
In this movie Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson work together to take down Professor Moriarty. They come across thugs, thieves, bombs, guns, and much much more.
Sherlock Holmes is the main character in this movie along with his sidekick Dr. Watson, other key players are Irene Adler, Madam Simza Heron, and Mary Watson.
This movie takes place in London, England in the year 1891In the beginning Sherlock has to prevent a bomb explosion set up by Moriarty and delivered by Irene, shortly after he saves everyone, Irene meets with Moriarty where she is killed, poisoned by her tea. Then Holmes tells Watson about a series of murders that are related by Moriarty, Watson reminds Holmes he is getting married the next day. They go out for his "stag party" or bachelor party, where they meet up with Holmes brother. Watson discovers Holmes forgot to invited his friends and that it is just them, Watson goes to gamble and Holmes meets with a Gypsy woman who is targeted by a hired killer. Madam Simza, whose brother is in trouble, goes with Holmes to be saved. Watson meanwhile is still gambling unaware of what is happening, until Holmes smashes through the window knocking all of his winnings off the table and starting a riot. The next morning they arrive at the wedding looking dreadful... beaten, bloody, dirty, exhausted and hungover; but Watson cleans up well. After the wedding a man tell Holmes that Moriarty wants to meet at the college at four. Moriarty basically says that even though Watsons no longer involved he is still at risk, that he could be collateral damage. He then tells Holmes that he killed Irene Adler, he says the only reason Holmes is alive is because his respect for him. Mean while Watons and Mary, his new bride, are boarding a train. Later that night, they are attacked, they throw the man from the train, and then Holmes arrives dressed as a women. Holmes throws Mary from the train into a lake to save her, Watson over reacts to this and they fight until men bust through the door, where their guns explode in their face due to something Holmes rigged. They climb along the outside of the train, to another compartment, where they have to lie on the floor to escape fire. then Watson shoots a man who drops a grenade into a bag of them train explodes and Watson and Holmes escape. Next Watson and Holmes travel to a Gypsy camp where they find a clue and drink and dance. Mary meanwhile is with Holmes' brother who is naked, she receives a letter from Watson that is in coded. Holmes, Watson, and Simza go to where they believe her brother is located or has been. They believe he was working with a bomb maker, and they go to visit him where he tells him that her brother isn't there and that there is another bomb. Then the bomb maker kills himself and they must escape through a secret door. They go to the opera where they believe the bomb is, only to find out it is not and that it is in the cake at the hotel. The cake is meant for a meeting of business men. They notice Meinhard (a gun maker) was shot and discover Sebastian Moran is working with Moriarty. Moriarty has acquired the gun factory in Germany, where they have to travel to. Moriarty hold Holmes hostage, where Holmes reveals Moriarty's plans; he plans to start a war. the structure crumbles and Watson, Simza, and Holmes (who is injured) escape. They discover that the target is the peace summit in Switzerland and Rene ( Simza's brother) is the assassin. Moran kills Rene, mean while Holmes and Moriarty are outside on a balcony over a waterfall. Holmes reveals that he switched out Moriarty's person diary with a different one, and sent it to Mary who deciphered it with a book Holmes saw in his office. Mary then sent it to Inspector Lestrade who seized the bulk of his assets. Then they go over several scenarios where they finally realize Moriarty would win due to Holmes injuries. Holmes grabs Moriarty and forces both of them over the balcony, both presumed dead. After Holmes' funeral Watson and Mary prepare for their honey moon when a package arrives with a breathing device of Mycroft's. Watson leaves his office to find the delivery man and you see Holmes has concealed him self. He reads Watson's memoirs and adds a question mark after "The End"
Sherlock Holmes- main character played by Robert Downey Jr. Holmes is a very smart man who sovles crimes, invents things. He is a little off his rocker and can sometimes be... rash. He is in love with a thief named Irene Adler, his best friend is John Watson, and he can be quite excessive. He lives alone in London, makes disquises, devices, and more. He can be nosie, selfish, forward, arrogant, but he can also be thoughtful, caring, and sweet he just has a weird way to show it. I love the way he is just random, and quirky. He makes me laugh and smile. "He truly played the game for the games own sake" as quoted from the plack at his funeral.
Dr. John Watson- Played by Jude Law, he is Holmes' best friend. He is in love with Mary his new wife, who Holmes thinks is stealing him away. Watson is a doctor which comes in handy for Holmes since he is always getting banged up, he is very educated in science and the surrounding areas. He has a bulldog whom Holmes experiments on. Watson is charming, easily aggitated by Holmes, but he cares about him deeply. He is couragous, skilled marks man, and swordsman. I love how he is always trying to challenge holmes and in a way make him better. You can tell he truly loves his best friend. He is one of two of my favorite character, not just because I love Jude Law but because hes brave, intelligent, caring, and so much more.
Irene Adler- played by Rachel McAdams. She is a very smart woman and very bold for her time, and she is the love of Sherlock. She was "the only woman to outwit Holmes", she is very cunning and quick. She works for Moriarty doing various things, and is ultimately killed by him. Watson doesn't trust her, and suspects she is playing holmes. She is quick with a knife and skilled in many ways, in one scene she is being robbed but ends up robbing the rober. she would indead marry for money and has before, she is a woman who knows whats she wants and she gets it. I like her because of that. She is also one of two of my favorite characters, she is daring and creative and not the normal woman for her time, she is outspoken and rash sometimes but quite charming and affection.
Mary Watson- played by Kelly Reilly, she marries Dr. Watson. Her and Holmes don't neccessarily get along, she is a smart and sophisticated woman who calls out Holmes on many occations. She loves Watson and even puts up with holmes because of it. I believe she is caring and dedicated to anything she sets her mind to, she comes across as kind of up tight to me.
Madam Simza Heron- played by Noomi Rapace, she is a Gypsey whose brother(Rene) gets mixed up in the trouble of Moriarty. She is attacked after her brother sends her a letter, Moriarty sends and assasin because he thinks she knows more than she acctualy does. She helps Holmes and Watson through out the movie, with travel ,clues, and more. To me she seems to be a little rough around the edges, which could be from growing up a Gypsey or it could just be from a hard life. She cares emencely for her brother and is devistated when he is killed at the end of the movie.
My over all opinion of the movie is that it is great, it could have used something... more. Over all good movie though, the actors did great the plot was good it definately had very strong points and a few not so strong... I deffinately reccomend it.
Lights, Camera....Popcorn!

Scream (1996)
**SPOILER ALERT: may contain spoilers, you shouldn't read if you haven't seen and you want to see it!!!!!!
For my first movie I picked Scream, it is one of my most favorite movie. I love almost everything about this movie. I love the actors, I think they are great for the characters they play. Wes Craven did an amazing job!
For those of you who have never seen this movie I truly recommend it, if you like scary movies. This movie is famous for the line "What's your favorite scary movie?" This movie opens up with a murder right from the start, and instantly pulls you in. The story line continues to grow as you watch more, it starts out as just some crazy guy killing teens, then it reveals more about why up until the big reveal.
I love how its not too much gore, I hate when the movie is all about the gore, sex, and nudity. It drives me crazy. This killer isn't revealed until the end of the movie and it keeps you guessing, it sets up several characters that could be the killer.
The main character Sidney Prescott plays a great final girl, she fights back, survives, gets creative when it comes to escape and weapons. She never gives up hope or quits trying, even when she finds out who the killer is and the motive.
Randy Meeks is by far my favorite character, he is played by Jamie Kennedy, he is a friend of Sidney's who likes her. He is a scary movie buff who introduces us to "the rules." He works at a movie store, goes to school with Sid and points a finger at Billy as the killer. I love how Randy knows his horror movies. I think he is a great character!
"The Rules"
- never have sex (sin factor)
- never drink or due drugs extension of number one
- Never say "I'll be right back" you wont be back
I also like Billy Loomis, who is played by Skeet Ulrich. Billy is Sidney's boyfriend, he is the dark bad boy, he is very hot! He goes to high school with Sidney and is best friends with Stu. He is dark and mysterious, he also comes across as questionable.
My over all opinion is this a great scary movie, it has great characters, plot, motive for the killers, great death scenes, not too much gore. I think its very entertaining, I still jump when I watch it. I think the blood looks good and the deaths are good too. I really like it.
My question for you is "What's your favorite scary movie?"

First Post
Hello, My name is Grayce. I made this blog to discuss the movies that I watch. I love movies all different kinds of movies I am also open to movie suggestions.
I know that opinions can differ and I have no problem if someone doesn't share my opinion.
My posts will all depend on when I watch a movie or movies, it could be a few a day or none, it all just depends.
Since this is a movie blog, I should probably say what my favorite movie is... the only problem with that is I have a favorite movie for every genre. I have a bunch of movies that I love with that said I have a bunch of movies that I hate. I don't just like a movie because its "popular"; how other people feel about a movie doesn't affect how I feel about one.
